The White-crowned Parrot or White-crowned Pionus is a small parrot that lives from eastern Mexico to western Panama. It is found in lowlands and foothills up to 1600 meters in altitude in forest canopy and edges.
The White-crowned Parrot feeds in social flocks of 30 to 50 birds. They feed on various seeds, nuts and ftuits. They can often be seen perching at the top of unopened palm branches.
