The Pink Cockatoo is a medium-sized species of cockatoo found in parts of Australia. These birds are also known as Major Mitchell's Cockatoo or Leadbeater's Cockatoo.
Pink Cockatoos have an amazing plumage, highlighted by their outlandish and colorful crests. The crest is bright yellow alternating with bold red. This contrasts with a subdued salmon pink body plumage.
Pink Cockatoos prefer an arid woodland habitat. They feed on seeds which they extract from shells using their powerful beaks. They also feed on fruit and insect larvae.
