The Black-throated Finch is a small species of songbird found in northeastern Australia. It is also known as the Parson Finch. The bird has a short black bill, with black at the lores, throat, and tail. The head is pale grey, while much of the body and wings are pinkish brown. Northern birds have a black rump; southern birds have white rumps.
